Publish and share
Your site is ready. Here’s how to go live and share the news with the people who matter most.
Preview your site first
Before sharing with anyone, take a look at how your site appears to visitors. From your site’s dashboard, click Preview Site. This opens a live preview that shows exactly what your guests will see, including your theme, pages, and content.
Walk through each page and make sure everything looks right. Check that your title, names, and due date are correct, and that the pages you want visible are showing up in the navigation.
The preview shows your site even when it is still a draft. Use it as many times as you need while you are setting things up.
Publish your site
When you are ready to go live, head to your site’s Settings page. You will find a Sharing section near the bottom with a button that says Share my page.
Click it and your site is instantly live. The badge on your site’s dashboard will change from “Not shared yet” to “Published,” and a View Live button will appear so you can see the real thing.
You can unpublish at any time
Changed your mind or need to make edits? Go back to Settings and click Unpublish. Your site will go private immediately and no one can visit it until you publish again.
Add privacy protection
If you want to control who can view your site, Biraea offers several privacy options you can enable in Settings:
- Password protection — Visitors need a password to view your site. Set one in the Settings page and share it alongside the link.
- Access codes — Give different groups unique codes for entry. Great for separating family from coworkers.
- Guest accounts — Require visitors to search for their name and create a personal account to access the site.
These options can be combined. For example, you could require guest accounts for most of the site while leaving certain pages open to everyone.
Not sure what to use?
For most families, a simple password shared alongside the link is enough. Check out the Access Control guide for a deeper look at each option.
After publishing
Publishing is not the end — it is just the beginning. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- 1You can keep editing your site at any time. Changes go live immediately.
- 2New pages or blog posts you add will appear right away for visitors.
- 3Check your guest list and RSVPs to see who has visited and responded.
- 4When baby arrives, use the “Mark as Born” feature on your site dashboard to update your countdown and celebrate the news.
Tips
Share it with a personal touch
Instead of just sending a bare link, write a short message like “We made a little site to share our baby news with you!” It feels warmer and gives people context.
Test on your phone
After publishing, open the link on your phone to make sure it looks good on a small screen. Biraea sites are mobile-friendly, but it is nice to see it the way most of your visitors will.
