Add pages to your site

Your site starts with a set of pages ready to go. Here’s how to add, rearrange, and manage them.

1

Open the Pages manager

From your site’s dashboard, click Pages in the site menu. You will see a list of all the pages currently on your site, displayed in the order they appear in your navigation.

2

Understand your default pages

When you created your site, Biraea set up seven pages automatically:

  • Home — Your main landing page with a hero section and welcome message
  • Celebrations — Baby shower and celebration event details
  • Blog — Pregnancy updates, milestones, and journal entries
  • Registry — Gift registries and cash fund contributions
  • Name Suggestions — Let visitors suggest and vote on baby names
  • Baby Predictions — Fun guessing games like due date, weight, and gender
  • Meal Train — Coordinate meal deliveries from your community

You do not have to use all of them. If a page does not apply to you, you can hide it or remove it entirely.

3

Add a new page

Click Add Page at the top of the page list. You will see a selection of page types to choose from:

  • About — Tell your story and pregnancy journey
  • Gallery — A photo gallery for bump pics, ultrasounds, and memories
  • Guestbook — A place for visitors to leave messages and well-wishes
  • FAQ — Answer common questions from friends and family
  • Contact — Share how people can reach you
  • Custom Page — A blank page for anything you can imagine

Pick a type, give it a title, and click Create. The new page appears at the bottom of your navigation and is ready to customize.

Not sure what you need yet? Start with just the defaults. You can always add more pages later as your plans come together.

4

Reorder your navigation

The order of pages in the manager is the order they appear in your site’s navigation. Use the up and down arrows next to each page to rearrange them.

For example, if you want your Registry to appear before your Blog, just move it higher in the list. When you are happy with the order, click Save Order to apply it.

5

Show or hide pages

Each page has a visibility toggle. Hiding a page removes it from your navigation and makes it invisible to visitors, but it does not delete it. You can bring it back at any time.

This is handy if you are not ready to show a page yet — for instance, you might hide the Meal Train until after the baby arrives, or hide Name Suggestions if you have already picked a name.

Hidden does not mean deleted

When you hide a page, all of its content stays safe. Toggle it back on whenever you are ready and everything will be right where you left it.

6

Control who sees which pages

If you have set up guest tags (like “Family” or “Friends”), you can restrict specific pages so only certain groups can see them. Click the lock icon next to a page to choose which tags have access.

Pages without any tag restrictions are visible to everyone. Pages with tag restrictions are only shown to guests whose tags match.

Requires guest authentication

Tag-based page access only works when guest authentication is enabled on your site. See the Access Control guide to learn how to set that up.

7

Remove a page

To permanently remove a page, click the delete button (trash icon) next to the page you want to remove. You will be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.

Note that your Home page cannot be deleted — every site needs at least one landing page.

This cannot be undone

Deleting a page removes it and all of its content permanently. If you are not sure, consider hiding the page instead.

Tips

Keep it focused

You do not need every page type. A site with four or five well-maintained pages is more welcoming than one with ten half-empty ones. Start small and add more as you go.

Custom pages are flexible

Use a Custom Page for anything that does not fit the other types, like a letter to the baby, a wishlist of advice from experienced parents, or a playlist for the nursery.
