Create your first site

Head to hearthbaby.com and click Get started in the top right corner. You will be asked for your first name, last name, email address, and a password.

Already have an account? Just click Sign in instead and you will land right on your dashboard.

Once you are on your dashboard, click My Sites in the sidebar, then hit the New Site button. This opens a simple three-step wizard that walks you through everything.

If this is your very first site, you might also see a prompt right on the dashboard home page encouraging you to create one.

The first step of the wizard asks for some basic details about your announcement. Here is what each field means:

• Site Title — The main heading visitors will see, like “Our Little Bundle of Joy” or “Baby Smith is on the way!”
• Subtitle (optional) — A short line underneath the title, such as “Coming this summer...”
• Due Date (optional) — If you would like a countdown on your site, enter your due date here. You can always add or change this later.
• Mother’s Name (required) — Your first name, or however you would like to be addressed on the site.
• Father’s Name (optional) — Your partner’s name, if you would like it displayed alongside yours.

Next you will pick a design template. Each template sets up a complete look — colors, fonts, and layout — so your site looks polished right away.

Browse the options and click any template to select it. You can tap Preview on any card to see a larger preview of how it will look. If you prefer to design everything yourself, there is also a Start from scratch option at the bottom.

The final step shows a summary of everything you entered. Take a moment to double-check that the title, names, and template look right.

You will also see a note reminding you that your site starts as a draft. Nobody can see it until you decide to publish, so there is no rush. You will also need to acknowledge a brief note about guest data privacy before continuing.

When everything looks good, click Create My Site. Biraea will set up your site in a few seconds and drop you straight into your new site’s dashboard.

As soon as your site is created, Biraea sets up several pages for you automatically:

• Home — Your main landing page with the title and welcome message
• Celebrations — A place for events and special moments
• Blog — Share updates and journal entries with your family
• Registry — Link gift registries or set up cash funds
• Name Suggestions — Let visitors suggest and vote on baby names
• Baby Predictions — Fun guessing games for your guests
• Meal Train — Coordinate meals from your community

You do not have to use all of them. You can hide, rename, or reorder pages at any time from the Pages editor.

Your site is ready to customize. Here are a few things you might want to do first:

5. 5When you are happy with how it looks, publish and share the link
